THERAPEUTICALLY DESIGNED FOR JUVENILES AND ADULTS NEEDING A MORE INTENSIVE PROGRAM FOR ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES The Intensive Alcohol Drug Program is a comprehensive seminar designed to address substance abuse issues in juveniles and adults, as well as adult offenders requiring more than a one-day program. The program utilizes various learning activities and experiential techniques to help participants take responsibility for their thoughts, feelings, and actions. The program is based on the philosophy that substance usage issues often stem from clients' beliefs about themselves and their environment, leading to self-defeating behaviors. It aims to assist clients in identifying their core beliefs and provide them with the necessary support and mentoring to change negative behavior. The two-day program covers a range of topics including legal issues related to alcohol and substance use, self-assessment, learned behaviors from family, peers, and communities, genetics and biochemistry, pharmacology of street drugs and alcohol, family dynamics of chemical dependency, psychological and societal aspects of substance use, abuse and dependency, drinking and driving, coping skills development, social norming, and assertiveness training. This program is recommended for adults and juveniles experiencing ongoing alcohol or drug-related problems, those exhibiting substance abuse-related issues in their personal lives, individuals needing an intensive two-day program, and those showing behavioral problems both within and outside the family structure.
